The shorter focal lengths yield smaller spot sizes, typical for higher DPI engraving. Longer focal lenses perform more as a deeper cutting knife.

The Focal-tube assembly includes the Focal-tube, lens washer, lens nut, standard air nozzle, and air fitting. This does not include lens. The focal tube assembly is nice to have if the machine operator switches between using lenses of different focal length and does not like switching the lenses into the same tube assembly. The lenses can be mounted in two separate assemblies and so can switched in a matter if less than one minute.
