I have a problem with my laser machine. What information do I need to provide to the technician as he tries to help my fix the problems?

How big is the laser? What is the intended laser wattage? What software are you using? What is the version of firmware for the motion controller? You could possibly include a picture of the machine. Was there a power surge? Was there a lightning strike near the laser machine? Do you use a welder, powder coating system, or other large machinery near the laser machine? Did some students/employees mess with the alignment? Was there a collision involving the travel axis or gantry? What is the problem? Is the laser software working? Will the computer communicate with the laser machine? Are some parts missing or damaged? Does the laser skip? Is there a small loss of power? Does the laser light not activate during project? Do both travel axis move correctly? You could include a picture of a results cut/engraved by the laser machine. You could include a picture of damaged parts. Please do not include a video unless requested to do so.
