How to engrave a line.

Convert the line to an object with area then engrave the area.

I think you want to "engrave" just that line. The line can be cut... You can't engrave just a line. You can tweak the line into an area ..to engrave that area.

1. Select the line
2. Give the line the desired Width (found under object properties)
3. Convert the outline to an object (found on the "Arrange" menu).
4. Right-click on pallet to give the object a new outline color.
5. Left-click on pallet [X] to make the fill color clear.
